Haymarket is a historic town with a rich history. The old town charm is evident by some of the older buildings in the towns center. Along Washington Street, also known as John Marshal Highway, some buildings date back to 1870 and early 1900. They have been restored and maintain original features in many cases. Haymarket was known as a crossroads in the 1700's. Today, it is perfectly situated close to Manassas and Washington D.C. to the East and to the West are the Blue Ridge Mountains and all they have to offer. The location of Haymarket makes it an easy commute as it's coneniently just off of I-66 and route 29.
