Potomac Yard is a neighborhood in north Alexandria City just south of Arlington County minutes from Old Town Alexandria and Reagan National Airport. The neighborhood takes it's name from the Potomac Yard rail yards that were one of the busiest on the east coast until it was dismantled in the 1980's. The area is fast developing and has seen tremendous growth in the last decade with many new developments. There are many commercial and residential projects both completed and in progress making it a great place to live. It has so much to offer with many new stores, restaurants, cultural events and activities all within easy driving to Washington DC and Old Town Alexandria.
