McLean is located in Fairfax County and known for the upscale neighborhoods and luxurious homes. Over its history many notable U.S. and foreign diplomats have made McLean their home. McLean is also home to the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley and the Director of National Intelligence. It is also known for Tyson Corners Shopping Mall and the Tyson Galleria with their upscale shopping and restaurants, popular destinations in the region. McLean is convenient to Washington D.C. I-495 runs through it and it is only minutes from I-66. McLean borders the Potomac River to the east and north, Great Falls and Vienna to the west and Arlington County and Falls Church to the south.
